I'm not sure where this quote originated but I saw it on a sign at a store (Hobby Lobby, Ross??) and took a photo on my phone. I've used it as my lock screen ever since.
This quote is a good reminder that there's no hurry to find my way. No hurry to find love. No hurry to figure out what to do with my life. With so many people I grew up with getting married, having kids and advancing in their careers, it's hard not to worry about my own future. Will I ever get married? Will I have kids? Will I leave behind more than photographs of myself?
Sometimes I need to be reminded that it's okay to be 29 and single. It's okay that I occasionally feel like I'm going through the motions. Bad things happen everyday and nothing is certain in this life except death. But letting fear of what could happen can prevent you from living today. So don't worry about meeting society's deadlines or expectations of others and just live your life. Have fun. Travel. Treat each day as a new adventure. And then someday you will find your happily ever after. Believe that!
