I couldn't decide which photo to use for today's blog. Should I use one from high school? From when I was a baby? From a crazy adventure?
After some debate I decided on this picture of my brother and I from 24ish years ago. I like this picture because it's sweet and that is one awesome shirt I'm wearing. And look at that hair! But also I chose it because it makes me realize how lucky I am to have a little brother.

When we were kids, despite what this picture may lead you to believe, we would fight quite a lot. He knew exactly what annoyed me and would use it to his advantage whenever possible. (Probably getting revenge for all of the times I convinced him there were alligators in the swimming pool so he wouldn't get in there with me.) He would bang on my door insistently or weasel into my room just to touch things I told him not to.
He knocked one of my teeth loose, I pushed him down stairs. Great bonding times.
But we would also play video games together (Sonic!) and spent many an hour in our tree house. We would ride our bikes around every inch of our parent's property pretending to be driving cars and visiting friends. And lest we forget the trampoline.
Now that we're older, we get along great (although, now he's bigger than me so I'm not so sure I could take him in a fight J). I'm thankful for the good times and the bad. And I'm glad we have gotten to the place we are today.
